Default 6.7L DPF Delete Kit

I sent an e-mail to H&S Performance last week asking about their "DPF Delete" kits. I received this reply yesterday:

We are still working on making the kit 100% free from any trouble codes. At this time we do not have an estimated date as to when the code free kit will be available, but hopefully soon. However, if you are running a Edge Juice w/ attitude it is possible to run our kit without codes, and also without derating the engine. You can also run the kit without the Edge and not derate the engine, but will possibly throw a code every few days, which you would either have to live with, or use a tuner or scan tool to clear the code. Either way, the kit will not derate the engine, will not let regen cycles start, will lower your egt's, and improve fuel economy greatly. Pricing on the delete kit right now is $349 shipped, anywhere in the continental U.S. We can also do a 5" turbo back kit for $699 shipped. Please note that shipping to Canada will add $35 to the order. If this is something you are interested in at this time, please send us an email with "special order" in the memo field and we will start the order for you immediately.
If you wish to wait for the code free kit, please do not respond to this email, but rather check with us after January 1st. We thank you for your interest in our products and look forward to doing business with you now, or in the near future.

From what I understand, their kit includes a stainless pipe w/flange that bolts up to the existing flange forward of the cat. I don't know if the pipe has nipples for the pressure and temp sensors, but I guess it probably does. There is also a plug n play'black box' that connects under the hood that instructs the ECM to forget to regenerate.

If you want to reach H&S their e-mail is hsperformance@hotmail.com

sounds promising. You are already running the edge so I think you should go for it.

Very interesting, have they talked about how much improvement on economy? im still getting 15 mpg, (hand calculated) W/ 37's
not bad, but could be better
did you get the speedo recaled?

Your commute is similar to mine... 85 mi one way, 25~2700' elevation gain. been averaging upper 17's to low 18's

One of these weeks I'm going to have to set it back to stock to see how good/bad the difference really is... [&:] that is definately going to suck.

Is that city or highway, because I am lucky to get 14 in the city, maybe 12 if it is all red lights.

I put toyo 35's on my 08 6.7 and I only get around 11mpg around town and slightly better on the highway. that is what the computer readout says, i guess i get about 10% better than that because of the tire heighth but still not good mileage, i am looking for anything to help me get better mileage, hopefully a new reliable chip will be out soon, anyone with ideas to help would be appreciated. I don't spend much time on this forum so my e mail is digitalhearing@yahoo.com Otherwise I love my new Dodge !!
