Not been around alot lately, those of you that may have noticed over the past few years, I get busy and then I get bored at work.. This has been one of those busy times, we have the holidays a few major upcoming inspections and we are moving accross town so.. I miss this place though, just havent had the time. I have been lurking a bit, but never really the time to post.

The cool thing is that the major inspection happened yesterday, we passed.. It was a go/no-go garde, we got a go. The annoying thing about it is it is the biggest reason that I have been missing lately. For about the last month and a half I have been training maintenance and Security Forces personnel on the new equiment. Basically the bases grade rested on my shoulders. Base passed, did anyone thank the guy who has been working his freakin ***** off, not yet. We are getting a new house and moving over the next few weeks, so I go home from work and just pack stuff, luckily there I can work with a gin and tonic in hand

 

do they get mad when you do that at the base or something?

where you moving to? local or a new base?

Know what ya mean about the gin & tonic thing there Tommy.....I could never convince my NCO's I worked better w/ a vodka in my hand either. I don't know why

Good luck on the move....such a PITA moving is...at least you don't have to borrow a truck to do it

 

DITY move on base.. I have been renting a house off base for several years because base housing sucked. Well they just built a bunch of new houses and they are live-able, so we are moving on base. Gonna save a ton of freakin money buy doing it, plus we are gettting paid to move ourselves. Friggin sweet.

My wife is so awesome too, usually when I get home, there is a glass of Saphire and tonic with slice of lime sitting on the counter waiting for me.. God I love her!
