I priced one of the Road Armor front bumpers at $-wheel parts and they wanted over $2000 for the damn thing?

As far as a rear bumper goes, Tuff Country make the sweetest one I have seen yet and it is rated to tow to your trucks stock rating. Here it is.................

Thanks!

Yeah it's kinda like an added bonus of owning one. I have only seen one other truck with the same bumper. So really is kinda unique, one of a kind look. And it's a fraction of the cost of a Road Armor bumper. Although I like the Armor better but cust can't see paying that much $$ for one.

Arc-rite has front and rear matching bumpers. I don't have a front bumper from them (only a grill guard) I wanted a drop down rear bumper, but, theguys told me the same thing about a drop down bumper and tongue weight.

But, instead I got a standardheight rear bumper and then added a receiver extension that ties into the existing hitch receiver. (See the picture) I hope I wasn't led astray....

Just thinking... could they weld on the add on plate and increase the tongue weight or why is the tongue weight being lowered on the ranchhands? Maybe Woli or one of the many welding experts on here can fill us in...

Most of the rear replacment 8" drop bumpers I have seen, are designed so that you keep the stock reciever hitch. It's when you step down to a 10" drop that you must remove the stock reciever in most cases. I called "Tuff country "and asked about the tow rating on it and they say it is designed to meet the stock truck specs.
The only reason I don't have one yet is because it cost more than what I paid for the front bumper!!
