when disconecting the edge so my truck can be flashed, what are the connections i have to for sure disconnect. I understand the Map Senor has to be disconected and hooked back to the original port, but do i also have to disconnect the data link connecector and were does it hook back up too?? What about the injection pump connector?

this sucks! have to disconnect all this and im most likely going to mess something up, and have a huge fuel leak! damnit! all while im on Maine for my Christmas break....****ty luck!

 

why ur disconnecting all this?ur truck isnt on warranty anymore right? so why bother to do so?
just turn it off and leave it alone

 

well from what i understand, to get the stock information on the truck back so the can flash it, you have to hook up the stock data link and the stock map senor connector back on to the truck so that everything is reading STOCK and not seeing any aftermarket parts so it wont zap my edge box as well...


i wish it worked the way you stated...just unplug the edge box on that big huge plug and be done...but i dont think i can do that!

 

anyone else got any ideas of what i should be disconnecting??

 

got the map senor unhooked, and programmed the smarty back to stock....and disconnected the HUGE plug in into the edge box..anything else that i need to do before they flash my truck?

 

Well it goes in tomarrow morning about 6. I have the smarty programmed back to stock, and disconnect the map senor and put the stock plug back in. And unhooked the one huge plug that hooks into the EDGE box itself...


anyone else have ANY input on what else NEEDS to be disconnected before the dealer flashes my computer. I just dont want it to zap my EDGE box!
