an old man has a h/p query?
i was in the garage today firing up the fleet, the hawg took five tries, gotta get on it more often, the go-cart needed ether, and the quad, well just good old kawasaki knowhow, first time all the time. i got started thinking when pulling the go-cart rope, it's a 5.5 h/p engine, my '07 is rated at 325 h/p, the go-cart i know is at the flywheel, but our trucks, are they at the flywheel or at the rear wheels, inquiring minds want to know.
The 325hp is at the flywheel, at the rear wheels is less.

I'm not real sure what tundras put down at the wheels. you also need to look at where the power is made. . .we have a pretty level torque curve starting at 1500 or so RPM, gassers need to wound up to around the high 3's to low 4's before they hit full torque.
thanks guys, i just got back from applying linament to my arm after pulling that goddamn go-cart pulley,
good info, take care.
