what i did this christmass
for the last 7 years my family and I go to our cabin for christmas and new years. and much like all the other years this was an event full trip.
here are some pictures of the frozen lake
morning

evening

did a little shooting

becuase of the pine beatle that has killed all of the old pine tree's, we have to cut them down and burn them in the winter because of the fire hazerd when summer comes along.

but the most eventfull thing to happen this trip involved 10 hours of already driving, icy roads, a coyote, and about 60mph. we were tired and exhausted and only one hour away from our cabin when we saw a coyote on the road my dad (who was driving) pulled to the side and slowed down. but i guess he went to far and the dually wheel caught the bank and then we were in for a ride. when we landed in the ditch the truck was on two wheels for what felt like 10 seconds, but then it landed back on all four. lucky friends of ours drove by and gave us a ride to a pay phone were we called a tow truck. when he arivved we just pulled the pin on the tralier hitch and towed the trailer out backwards. then pulled the truck out.

the guy had a real powerful winch cant really see it in the pic but the tow truck lifted the front end of my dads 96 one ton off the ground a good foot.

luckly the only damge sufferd on the truck was the turning lamps on the right side were torn off.
