Anyone have experience with swapping a NV5600 to an automatic trans in a 2003 CTD. Have a customer that wants to try this. Just looking for any problems that may arise or suggestions to make this easier....Thanks for the replys ......

seems the biggest problem would be the correct wiring harness, PCM compatibility and linkage lengths.

Here's a kit that might help.....

Thanks Ty, those were a few of rthe problems that I expected. I did an auto to 5-speed swap on the 'Stang but had a donor car to rob all the pieces. It wasn't that hard since I had all the right pieces. But have not talked to anyone that has done the reverse to a CTD.. I know that with enough money that it can be done.. That is a great website. Gonna ask my boss about that trailer for you.....

What are you doing with the nv 5600???????[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

I know on the 2nd gen dodges that the tcase input shafts are different. The autos had 23 spline and the manuals had 29 spline.

The NV5600 we took out of his truck had 295,005 miles on it and still shifted fine. He just wanted a new one. The old one is sitting in the shop. I am supposed to send it in for remanufacturing. Dang thing has a $880.00 core charge.
