Default low fuel warning indicator

My trucks "Low fuel warning" indicator comes on in cold weather - sometimes! 2005 Dodge Cummins 33K miles, New fuel filter @ 30K. Fuel light indicatorwill go out once the truck is fully warmed up. If I plug block heater in overnight, fuel light does not come on. If this is a Dealer issue I need to getthe truck looked at prety soon asthere is onlyanother few thousand miles left on warranty.
I appreciateany suggestions. Thanks!

sounds like the fuel might be gelling on you. try using some additives to that keep this from happening.

Thanks Beachmaster for you quick response.
I should have mentioned that I'm using 16 oz of PSD per tank and this warning light never happened last winter.

Sounds like a low-fuel switch may be sticking if you're using additives. If the fuel gauge is sweeping normally, but the light reads erronious, sounds like a switch problem. Get it to the dealer before your warrnanty expires. Guess I should ask which low fuel warning this is.. cluster indicator, or overhead console?

Thanks Tony
It's the cluster indicator (outline of a gas pump) in the area of the speedometer.
