Hello all,

I got an irritating sound coming from my drivetrain and I was wondering if you could help me isolate the problem.

Symptoms: The problem only manifests when moving, which is why I suspect the drivetrain. At first it was rare, but now it's near constant. It has a regular cadence relative to the speed of the truck and has a sound akin to a stone rattling in an exhaust pipe.

I don't know if it's related, it may be a seperate problem, but when I turn left or right, sometimes I get a popping sound.

How can I isolate the problem?

sounds like a u-joint or a wheelbearing. get it looked at soon because a total failure of one of them is not fun when going over 50
