thinking about upgrading to an 07 6.7. anyone have any input for the manual over the auto? what kind of price is a good deal on an 07 this time of year? when i bought this one i got what i think was a pretty good deal 11k off of sticker and half way between trade and private party kbb value for my 03 5.9.

any input would be appreciated.

nothing just wanted to upgrade to the 6.7 with the exhaust brake.

I have a 6.7 with the G56 manual. It's an excellent transmission, nice and smooth. The shifter has a long throw, so you're not going to win any drag races with it. My only complaint is that it's geared a little too low, even with 3.73 gears in the differentials. Taller tires would help a little, or the Gear Vendors overdrive gizmo.

If the exhaust brake is all you want then Id putone on your 5.9. I would think you would come out ahead that way. The power is about the same for the two motors. 5.9 doesnt have the regen issues.
