My 01 CTD - Mind the Damage
SO, NOW the Drama Unfolds!
Lemme throw in the rundown on the WHOLE thing so it's easier to understand....
The Moron who hit my truck was driving a 60+' greyhound style privately owned tour bus. From the Damage on the bus, He not only Drove into my truck, but CONTINUED driving through it. Now through the police academy, we went through accident investigation, and it's VERY apparent that this idgit took out everything from that lower quarter pannel on the left side to the taillight and threw my tailgate outa whack. To top it off, The driver of the bus did get a ticket (eventhough it was on private property....And only because Denver PD knew when I called their dispatch center that I was an Officer as well) And NOW, The insurance company is stating that they're only going to pay $600.00 to Fix the truck stating that "There was prior damage to the vehicle, and we should not have to pay for it"
Ok, SO that's just fine...When We got down to the root of the problem, this moronic adjuster who was SUPPOSED to advise me that he was going to be AT MY HOUSE when he looked at my truck is saying that they "shouldnt have to blend the paint to make it look like it's brand spanking new when there was previous damage on that side of the bed, AND YOU (being myself and my wife) will have to pay HALF of the repair cost to get your truck looking like new...."
Now, Is it just me or do ya'll See a VERY apparent problem with this??

Hi SouthernStyle, I grew up in Alamosa, Co and I was stationed at Peterson Field in the early 70's and then again at NORAD, Shriver AFB and others in 1984 till retiring in 1992. We left Colorado to see the Good ole USA in our RV and we haven't figured where to stay the longest. We travelled all over theUS, Alaska and Canada. Right now we spend the winters outside of Tampa, FL (visiting kids and grandkids) and then head up to Eastport, Maine for the summer. In Eastport we have to drive 35 miles to the first stoplight and then the next one is 110 miles away. The way life should be. I am looking forward to towing my 5th wheel with my new truck. I also have two nieces that have Ram 2500 diesels, one is an attorney in Aspen and the other is a ski instructor at Wolf Creek Ski area. Take care

Was there damage before the bus???
Is this your insurance of the bus companies??? Why isn't the bus company paying for the repairs??

If you have full coverage on your Ram, I wouldn't even have a conversation with the bus drivers insurance comapny. I'd just turn it into your insurance company, let them fix it, pay your detuctable, and let them get their money ( including your detuctable ) from the bus drivers company. THAT'S why you have insurance.
