I just orederd the muffler delete pipe from Genos.. I just looked under the truck to see how hard it might to put on and i did not see a cat.From the turbo all the way to the muffler is all pipe and nothing eles. Should it not have a cat somewhere before the muffler??? It a all stock 03.CTD ,quadcab,DRW,Auto.

Nope, they didn't have cat's previous to 04.5. I have an early 04 and it doesn't have a cat either

ok got ya i wonder if it will be too loud on the hwy w/o muffler. I use the truck for work and im on the road all day just dont want it to be way too loud..

I have mine straight piped from the turbo back and it doesn't bother me.We only have 3.5" pipe from the turbo to the muffler, so I think that helps keep it a little quiter. About the best way I can describe it is, crusing at 70mph, I had to turn the volume up on the radio 2 notches to have the same volume as before. My wife doesn't really like stuff load and it doesn't bother her.

My thought is, it's always easier to put stuff on then it is to take it off. Worst case scenario, it's too loud and you need to get a new muffler. Like an aero or something.

Ya thats true i think it should be o.k as far as sound .. I never noticed how big that muffler really is..Its got tobeatleast 60lbs..LOL. It looks like i will have to cut the clamps. Well i will find out soon enough.Thanks for your input it helped me out alot thanks again.
