how do you change fuel filter on an 07 with the 5.9? also how often is needed, (not recommende by dealer)? thx,,,,,,,

 

Theres a do it yourself thread on it on the main page. Its really simple, takes 10 minutes, make sure you do the priming sequence.

 

actualy the thread is linked in the FAQ thread at the top of the main index for the cummins section. the fuel filter change out procedure is the same for all 3rd gen 5.9's.


just make sure you close the pet **** on the filter canister before priming

 

I do the fuel filter change every other oil change.

For $14.14, I can buy the 7m fuel filter from the local Cummins Store.

Oh, and yes, make sure to prime it...
