Default bully dog programmer today

okay the place where I get my hitches installed is during a free program for your truck. they will download the 75 hp bullydog program in your truck to see if you like it and then you can buy the kit from them. The way it works is it monitors how many time you turn your truck on with the key, after about 10 times then the program is no good and it goes back to your stock settings.

My question is, after he did it, I didn't really notice anything different??? I was hoping I was going to get better gas mileage, but really didn't increase that much. I noticed a little bit of power, but that might have been in my head thinking I had more. Are you suppose to notice the difference alot, my truck is bone stock and I use it to haul a 53ft car trailer all day. 5.9 cummins.

loaded you should have noticed less throttle to get things going. . .and a bit more smoke out of the exhaust.

if you use your truck for work the most I would run would be 35hp. that's enough of a bump to increase mileage, past that your just burning fuel while pulling.

unloaded, you should have realy noticed a difference.

i agree, you should of felt a big diffrence. i am not sure what kind of changes it did to create more power but when i ran 65 extra horse's with my quad xzt it was ALOT faster, shifted WAY better, and increased mileage....

not to say that its a bad unit or program.... maybe the guy dident do somthing right or maybe he gave you a small increase im power and told you it was more?!?!

i didn't notice any black smoke coming out of the exhaust. It seemed like it drove like usual though.

which program does everyone think is the best out there? NOT looking for speed or performance, I use this truck for work and am looking for mileage and a little hp.
