so how would i go about running high sulfur fuel in a low sulfur fuel truck i got a 2008 ram 2500 and i want to run high sulfur fuel

 

remove the DPF and Cat and your good. . .this is still being perfected, so all I have to say is dont do it. . .besides, I'm not real sure where you can get LSD. . .everyone in the nation has swaped over to ULSD by now

Don't do it unless you want you truck to run like crap... Besides a dealer could refuse to file a warranty claim WHEN they find out that you are running un-approved fuel.

When you say "high sulfur fuel" I guess you mean Low Sulfur Diesel as opposed to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. The old high sulfur diesel (up to 3,000 ppm) was outlawed a couple years ago if I remember correctly.

These days even if the pump is labeled LSD the sulfur content in the fuel is probably a lot closer to 15 ppm than the 500 ppm that is allowed, because like Drew says the refineries are mostly producing ULSD now. There is no minimum sulfur content in diesel fuel, only a maximum allowable.

 

There are plenty of places still selling LSD. Check out the link, this is just Flying J and there are plenty of places to get LSD.

like i want to run rig fuel in my truck fuel from a drilling rig and it is not ulsd they still get lsd would that be fine to runor know cause the dealer said it was alright to run purple fuel but the rig fuel aint ulsd ?

 

no you need ULSD for the engine you have.

 

what would happen if i ran mostly clear and a little purple ? in that i mean low sulfur and regular sulfur fuel
