Please don't flame me.....
I've always liked the old flat fender power wagons, here's one someone dropped a 12v CTD in.

When I first saw the 'Burban Concept in the Diesel Power Mag, I fell in love with it. The first pickup truck I ever rode in was my dad's old Z71 Silverado so I do have a soft spot for Z71 trucks. My dad currently owns a 2500 Silverado with the LBZ Duramax (I couldn't convince him to get a CTD. Chevy fans just cannot see the light
)
Anyway, as I read the article, I was somewhat displeased. I love the idea of a 2500 Z71, but not with the new 4.5L. 3/4 tons sould get the LMM 6.6L. The 4.5L should be for 1/2 tons only (or maybe even standard on the 3/4 ton with the optional LMM). Granted,the baby Duramax makes damn good power, but I'd still rather have the bigTD in a 3/4 or 1 ton

The small diesel should debut as a 2010 for both GM and Ford. The Heavy Duty 3/4 and 1-ton GM will have a choice of either 360hp or 400hp 6.6liters. Interesting enough both GM and Ford small diesels are both 4.5 liters from what I have heard. The Fords will be all Ford. Also the scoop around here is Ford will be making there own big diesel as an option along with the 6.4 international until said contract is expired. Maybe Ford should cut there losses and try and save customers by investing there diesel budget into gassers.[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif] Hehehe.......
