raise or lower?
Well I have a 2001 Extended Cab Short Bed and I am debating rather to lower it down some to level it out or just raise the front. I am gonna fix it up performance wise. I don't really tow anything with it but also don't wanna mess with the leafs and overloads in the back. I haven't been able to find a kit to lower it down in the back because its a 8800 GVW. I would like to what you'll think. Heres a pic of it, it looks like it does in the pic minus a front bumper and a bent it fender. Also I mostly drive on the street if that helps any.

From what I've read you are going to have a hard time finding a kit to lower the back of the truck.
Best thing to do is a 2 or 2 1/2 inch leveling kit. Will give you plenty of room to clear 35's & gets rid of the nose down look.

Is this truck a 4X4? (the front sits kinda low). If it is, a 2' front leveling kit should work out well.
If it is 2wd, you could lower the rear by mounting the springs under the axle.
