Default Code P1753, 05 Ram 3500, What is it?

Hi guys,

I checked the codes list from the FAQ but that one isn't listed. Looks like something in the transmission but I'm not sure what. I was towing on the highway when I got the code and the truck is definitely down on power and reluctant to shift down.

Thanks!

Default RE: Code P1753, 05 Ram 3500, What is it?

P1753-TRANSMISSION THROTTLE VALVE MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE
Theory of Operation
The transmission throttle valve cable has been replace by the transmission throttle valve actuator (TTVA). The TTVA consists of an electric DC motor, two potentiometers, and a gear drive system. The TTVA is mechanically connected to the transmission throttle valve in the valve body by the ā€œDā€ shaped opening in the bottom of the TTVA shaft.

Possible Causes[/b]

BROKEN OR STRIPPED LINKAGE BETWEEN THE TTVA OUTPUT SHAFT AND THE THROTTLE VALVE

TRANSMISSION THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR

TRANSMISSION THROTTLE VALVE COMPONENTS

Know that this is vague, but hope it leads you in the right direction...
