front end query
i understand there are problems with the front ends of the ram. is it just the ball joints that are a problem? are they a warranty item? would be worth it to do a replacement now when there is no problem or should i wait until there is a problem?
Here's a direct quote from Bob. He's had more steering problems than anyone I know

I went through 4 steer gear boxes in 2 years. One did not even last 30 days. I put on the steering stabilizer bracket from PSC Motorsports and it cured the problem I had with steering boxes. It also solved the wandering problem I had while towing. Well worth the $180 I spent on it.
Slop in your steering can be caused by a bunch of things. First see if your steering box needs adjusted. Then check the trac-bar. then check everything else. Tie rod ends, ball joints, front bearings. And don't replace it with any of that dealer crap. The after market stuff is 10 times better than the crap Dodge is putting on the front end.

thanks mayfair, i have a front end guy that i trust dearly, i will see him and buy top end stuff. everything is great right now, but maybe an ounce of prevention will give me piece of mind later. same thing goes for the lift pump problem, same thing, everything is ten and over right now, only dropping down to 7 wot, but then i won't have to worry, take care.
