Pre-lube your Ram
We have prelube pumps on our big emergency diesel generators 1000 hp definately a good thing. I have thought about installing a electric pump from the oil pan and tee into oil filter housing some how and wire it to a toggle switch. Keeping it simple could make it economically feasable.
Amsoil sells these too and I think they run between $344-$406. The price is even less if you are a preferred customer.
I think it is overkill unless you plan on getting 1 million miles on your truck or you let it sit for long periods of time between starts.

since the motors already apart, I would have everything coated with a moly coating, dry film lubricant and ceramic coating...have done that with the past 3 race motors I have biult and it works great....Dallas
When I mentioned the Amsoil one to Demon, here is what he said ...

The ESP is pre and post with adjustable timer on both sides (pre and post lube). The Amsoil luber onject 5.4 ounces of oil and that's it. The ESP will circulate oil for up to 3 mins prior to cranking. The ESP also runs a higher pressure. (35 max for Amsoil and 55-60 psi for the ESP).You can type all that for them....lol.The ESP is almost 3 times the cost and is a better unit in my opinion. Come winter time I can pump oil for 3 mins. That's the cats ***...lol.

IMO The Amsoil Ams-oiler is sized for V8's. It would work for the diesels if you started the engine but from you guys saying you want one to run for a few min sounds like you turn the key and sit for a while before starting. I know glow plugs but havent seen where it takes them a few min before you can start.
I think it was the post lube thing that really sold him. He's hooked !! He's already ordered it and is going to have it installed ( he can't do much right now with his hands )
I think it sounds pretty cool. I don't think it's any more rediculious than an auxilary oil filter is.
