Default 06 CTD 4.5" lift?

Anyone with a 4-4.5" lift on? How hard was the install mainly the front part the rear will be cake.
I hear on some dodges you have to cut the frame to install the kit making the lift unreversable? My suspension guy down here said he'd recommend doin a 2.5" level because it will ride alot better, but the 4.5" isn't much more $ than the 2.5" level...

I'll be running 35"s do you guys honestly think its worth the cash and risking the ride quality to get a lift instead of a level?

I have a 4.5 sky jacker on my 01 and the ride for a lack of better words SUCKS! i know that a truck is supposed to handle stiffer than a caddy but mine is rock hard. you feel every little bump in the road! the only upside is that i don't actually drive my truck that much that it bothers me plus i used to have wrangler that had leaf springs all the way around and it was actually worse.

You don't have to cut the frame. What they are talking about is cutting one of the bolts that holds the track bar bracket off the frame. The reason is because you can't get to the bolt to get it out with some engines. I am not sure if it applies to our cummins or not but I will let you know in about a week when I get the 6" installed.

When I installed my 6" superlift. I didn't have to cut or grind any part of the frame. the hardest part of the lift is you need to remove the down pipe to remove one bolton the upper control arm. If your going to lift go big you won't regret it.

I have an 06 with a 4.5" fabtech lift and think it rides better than it did stock, I had les schwabs put the lift on it and they had it done in under a day. My old truck was an 03 with the leveling kit and 35's and after it had the leveling kit put on it the steering was never the same, real loose.
