Default Do any of you

Carry a truck camper on your truck? I have a Lance 1025 but I am looking at getting a Lance 1055. It is not much bigger but it is a little heavier. I am wondering if any of you have slide in campers and what you think of the weight.

I have an 04 Ram 2500, cummins, laramie pkg, long bed, 4x4, 5 speed manual ( I love it!).
I also have Rancho 9000's on it and airbags.

Thanks!

4.7'r chiming in, camper also asked this in the 3rd gen section, no way a 2500 can carry that, its a long bed to boot, per dodge 1800-2200 pounds. Kingdog has a 1 ton dually with airbags, slight diff. plus she said the camper is 4,000 pounds, now if your out camping, youve got a ton of gear, ice, drinks etc, its not as if the trucks gonna be empty and just the 4k lb camper on top.

I could still kick myself for not getting a ctd, the dealer had one on the lot for about 3k more than mine, it was used, 30k miles, dually. It was white, dont like white, screams work truck so was kinda cautious on how it was driven seeing that it was a year old and had 30k on it ( i thought me putting 20k a year was a lot). I just wanted a new truck, one where i knew nobody farted in the drivers seat except me. But i do like the way they sound, grew up with ol diesel mercedes. I dont tow a damn thing so it wasnt imperative that i went with a ctd.

btw toyota is going to be coming out with a light duty diesel mid 2010, going to use Hinos powerplant (they own hino).
