Default B100 at 10 F, Works Great

Just for those of you interested in running Biodiesel, but concerned about performance and weather. I just made a run from CA to WY without any fuel line or in tank heater. It got down to 10 degrees F, and no problems. I just used a little cetane booster and had no problems running completely B100. Ran it in an '05 3500 dually, completely stock, no mods.

the thing is the engine is running. the CP3 circulates fuel back into the tank that has been used to lubricate the internal parts. the fuel is quite hot and will keep the fuel in the tank warm enough to prevent jelling. this is one reason why filling up around 1/4 tank is reccomended since hot fuel does not lubricate parts as well as cooler fuel. now with that said park that thing overnight and watch your fuel tank turn into a tub of crisco

but it is good to hear everything is running good on B100. how many fuel filters did you go through to remove the crud from the tank and lines.

I realize the return line helps a lot.

We did stop in Montana for 4 hours the truck sat in15 Fdegree weather and started up and ran just fine. Because we used a littlecetane booster it didnt gel at all.

As for fuel filters, because it was processed well ( we processed ourselves) , We drove 2800 miles...didn't have to change the fuel filter once. I checked it when we got home and it felt light...not a lot of gunk in there at all.

We used a gear pump hooked up to tubing.....stopped along the way and pumped fuel from barrells in the bed. You have a little gas station coming along for the ride!

Nice. I can run fine once my truck starts and runs for 2-3 minutes. with a wvo pump blend. how long have you ran bio? When you first started did you go through a lot of fuel filters? I have went through thrree with my first 5 tanks with blend. and I keep two under my seat.
