Default Brake and ABS Light / Reading Codes

Do you ever feel that you opened a big can of worms. It all started with a simple ball joint change that now has my ABS and Brake light on. When I had it in for the alignment, my friend ran the code and it was the drivers front that need change, no problem. So, instead of waiting, I changedthe sensorlast night, I knew something was wrong when it went so good.

Now that its done, the lights are still on. Do you guys know if it has to be driven to reset, reset at the dealer or something else??

Also, what controller / monitor do you all know of that reads codes. I was thinking of buying an Edge or SmartyCR but I read on one sight that the Smarty reads all codes except the ABS codes but will reset them. I'm looking for something that would be a good trouble shooting tool in the future as well as maybe a monitor controller etc., I think you guys get the idea.

Thanks again, this forum is wonderful to read.
