Default cp3 pump "timing"

Ok guys, a while back I was reading on here about "re-timing" the cp3 to get rid of the gear lash knock, however I have been looking for Drew's answer for about an hour. Does anyone know how to find it?

I never realy posted an answer on this. . .however I guess I can give you a little bit on this.

the CP3 pump, being a piston pump to build pressure can create a rattle depending on how it is timed with the engine. by turning the pump manualy a few degrees this will reduce to almost remove the rattling. in order to do this you have to remove the front cover to acess the gears. with a puller, pull the gear to the CP3 off and turn the shaft. then replace the gear, put the cover on and your all set.

Thanks for the reply Drew, I know I read a write up on here sometime in the last couple weeks, and thought it was you, obviously not.
Thanks again, I'm going to attempt to tackle it.

Oops, I was wrong, I read about this on another forum. Sorry.
There is a pretty lengthy discussion about the gear lash knock and how to fix it.
