Default transmissions........

i know i keep resurecting transmission posts but i swear this is my last one (i hope). i have 2 automatic transmission brands left standing goerend, and suncoast.

hp rating of 450-500.

Suncoast

http://www.suncoastconverters.com/

Transmission $2,695.00
Torque converter $1,295.00
Billet input shaft and hub $742.00
Laminated flexplate $432.00

total: $5,164.00

Goerend

http://www.goerend.com/index.php

Transmission(includes torque converter) $3550
Billet input shaft $600
laminated reinforced flexplate $400

total $4,550.00

now both of those prices do not include instalation and related expences. yes i know there is a $614 diffrence. but the nearest goerend transmission place is farther than the suncoast tranmission place. if i were to go the the georend shop i would have to travell throught seattle. incase you dont know i am from vancouver canada so the smaller the distance travelled down there the better. so my question is if you were me what would you do?

Too bad BD's transmission quality went down or I'd say take a quick run over to their shop. And no you wouldnt have to go through seattle for goerend trans. Dynomite diesel is only 20min drive from me. Do you have to have it installed by a dealer for warrenty? Cause I can have that thing put in in no time if your headed down this way anyways. Only thing I couldnt do is flush the trans cooler.

yah well its goerend or manual swap. i am still trying to justify the extra dough to swap a nv4500 or nv5600 in.
