hey guys anyone help me ]
got a line on a 2000 dodge 3/4 ton with a 24 valve and a cracked block how hard would it be too change that motor out for a 1993 12 valve cummins i already have in a truck they are both 5 speeds obviously different tranny's but what does the engine swap involve

 

Actually should not be to bad, the engine will drop right in, you can use the 24 valve transfer pump and filter housing, use the sensors from the 24 valve, the biggest prob i can see is a tach signal, without the cam sensor your tach wont work i believe, but i know there can be ways around it, use all the electronics from the 24 v but keep the old injection pump for sure, gets you away from the vp problems. Thank god its a manual, would be a pain in the **** with the auto, I say go for it! should not be that hard.
