Stock mine doesnt smoke except a little haze when taking off loaded. Crusing down the freeway at 60 unloaded I hit maybe 650F. Max egt unloaded I've seen is 1000F. I havent pulled a load over the pass or down the freeway in a while so I dont have those temps.

 

I can pull 22k up a 3% grade for 4 miles at 70Mph and I don't hit 1400 on EGTs even if I leave it in 6th gear up the whole hill. I also get 20MPG+ unloaded and when pulling the same 22k weight I still get over 10MPG. I have a Hypertech programmer and I leave it on stage 3 all the time, even when towing.

I usually hit around 1350 max, I have seen 1405 before but that the temperatur outside was 110 and I had the same load going up a pretty good hill on I65. I always try to start backing off at 1300 and my egt alarm is set to 1350.

 

everyones temps seem lower than mine...on hills here in texas i feal like im pushing it pretty hard to keep 70 on the dial.. and my trailer only weighs 4400 pounds... its driving me nuts....ithoughtthiswould pull the toung off my trailer...
