Default EGT Questions

I finally got my Quadzilla Recon back from having it repaired under warranty. When I first got it the EGT function and Trans Temp function didn't work. I plugged in the new monitor and now the EGT function works, but the trans temp function still doesn't.

After driving a few miles and watching the EGT's, I have a few questions.

What temp do you guys wait for before you shut your truck off? 300F or less?

What should I set my alarm to? 1300F?

I noticed that if I drive around town with the Tow/Haul mode on, my EGTs are noticeably lower. Does this mean my fuel mileage should be better with the Tow/Haul mode on?

Thanks in advance. Ryan

300F or lower is a good shut off temp. . .set the alarm to 1300-1350F. you can run 1200 all day, you can run 1300 for a little, but 1400+ for only short bursts.

I normaly see 500-800 highway @70mph. when stacked I'll see 1300 on occasion, I can peg out my EGT's above 1500 if I want to. but I realy gotta be bookin
