Default I love my Aero!!!

I just wanted to share the fact that I had my Aero turbine 4040XL installed today, $60. I absolutely love the sound. I left the cat on to keep it a tad muffled after hearing some others. It also woke up my whistler intake as well. The turbo changed pitch slightly and the whole thing rocks. Can't hear a thing at highway speeds, it rocks!!!

Congrats! I am thinking of doing this also. One thing I am worried about is the noise at highway speeds. Do you hear any increase at highway speeds? What I am worried about is hitching up the 5'er and listening to a steady drone for 600+ miles. That I don't want. Did you have it mounted in the stock position? I can listen to the turbo whine all day, just don't need the drone...

Well at highway speeds it was really quiet, I do have it in the stock position and I left the cat in as well to muffle it just a tick... I would assume however that if I were on the highway pulling a load I might hear it.... Won't have anything to pull for a while, so I can't tell you yet, but as far as it is right now, on the highway in overdrive, I don't even know its there.

The only time i have ever seen egt's that high was on level five and it was just a temp spike under very hard acceleration. Normal driving I sit right around500 to 700 in town driving. Haven't done much freeway with it yet.

I can't speak for the Aero, but I have the MBRP catback with stock cat still in place and it is super quiet at highway speeds. But when I hook up a loaded car hauler (6000lbs) or my loaded dump trailer (12,000lbs) it gets a lot louder on the highway. Nothing that bothers me a bit, but on long uphill grades I can definately see how it would bother some on a long trip hauler a 5er
