alright, I got everything put together last night for my yoda's tranny. . .everything was working fine, she was going through all the gears properly. there was a front cover that I hadnt gotten on yet since I needed my drill and the wire wheel to remove the old RTV so I left it alone. get home this afternoon from work and the battery was charged so I got on it. cleaned it up, bolted the thing up and now she's locking up in 3rd again[:@][:@][:@][:@]

pull the front houseing off and shimmy 3rd gear forward a bit to release it and it does. put everything back together, snap rings and all and she's going through the gears. . .nice. so I put the front cover on and DANGIT, locked in 3rd again[:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]

now Ive got to blow this saturday at the shop pulling the dang thing apart again to figure out whats binding up. and to top it off reverse is a bee itch to get off the ouput shaft

besides, it's not the front cover, I think I have the wrong thickness thrust washer for 3rd and that is causeing it to bind up.
