Detailed Description

An intercooler increases the air density, which allows your engine to produce more power. So it stands to reason that you wouldn't want to restrict the flow of air exiting the intercooler, right? Unfortunately, that's exactly what the stock piece does. Compare the pictures to see how cramped and angular the factory inlet is compared to Banks' larger, streamlined cast-metal High-Ram. Banks' High-Ram intake flows air much more efficiently, providing greater boost without the drawback of raising turbine backpressure. You'll enjoy improved acceleration and better fuel economy!
I WILL INSTALL for $50.00.
5-Year Ltd. Warranty

You could spend your money on much better things than that!! You won't see any increaase in power or airflow for your truck. You would need to be pushing a butt load of HP for that mod to do you any good at all. I would put your money in something else like Tires/Wheels, Chip/Programmer, turbo/injectors, ect.

As far as a good deal? I have no idea , I have never priced them.

I normally would agree with you Buzzy, however after hearing Steve rave about the difference that he got from his intake alone it really has me thinking. He said when he removed just his intake the performance was night and day.

I put a CFM on earlier this year with ports, that ran 350.00,turbo winds up faster and runs about 75-90 degrees cooler, haven't stepped on it yet to say about increase in power. Undecided yet if its worth it or not.

get the ats... I was able to see the gains with the tst set to stock, going up the grades to work. w/o it, truck downshifted more and it was obvious on the grades, once I put it back on, I retested the grades again and it did not downshift to hold the same speeds. all this is at 1600~1700 rpms doing 55~60 mph in the early morning hours (~7am).

many will say they are not worth it, I say it is. I would try to find one used if you can...

Would you say that the Banks one is no good? He's asking 200 bucks for it. That's about 1/2 of what a new one costs from ATS, Banks, or any other intake mfg.
