control arms....
ok heres the scoop
when turning, especially in parking lots, the front end seems to mechanically "lock up" in mid turn.
I was going to replace the upper and lower steering controll arm bushings, butspoke with myservice rep and front end mechanic.
Ineed to replace the upper control arm bushings and the steering control strut bushings (long 4ft rod that is bolted to the front of the frame with a 30* angle or so back to the control arms).
then an alignment.
so after $150 in moog bushings, the mechanic will charge me $200 to replace the upper arm and strut bushings, as well as an alignment when complete
was told that the lower control arm bushings rarely go bad. even on derilicts like I drive
that removes some stress from my day [sm=happybounce.gif]
just have to replace the belt this weekend....
I will throw some pics of the worn out parts up here for general reference....
