Time to say good bye for awhile
So Hauler being from Baudette do you fish? Hey chewy, I don't know how much you need to make from selling your truck but my buddy is trying to go from his 02 to a common rail. His 02 is the same as mine except without some of the extra work and he keeps it immaculate. He babies it and I know of absolutely nothing wrong with it. He is in the twin cities so you might be able to talk to him, work out some sort of trade and cash deal.
Thanks all...and Rooster, thanks for the mention.
The wife and I decided that we wanted to really start putting money aside and getting rid of the debt we have left. We're 28 years old and don't want to be sitting here 10 years from now not being any farther along then we are right now. We've seen enough people get into there 40's and 50's wishing they would have done things differently. We don't want to end up like that. So, with getting rid of the truck, it will free up some money plus a little extra to put towards other things.
It sucks, but in a weird way, I'm kind of excited because I know the next one I'll get, I know I'll be in a much better situation to do what I want to it.
Anyways...thanks again everybody

Rooster... Actually I hate fishing. I go fishing but never catch anything. I was ice fishing one time and everyone around caught like 15 fish and I hadnt caught a single one so they were giving me there poles when they had a fish on the line and I'd get it to the top of the hole and the line would break or the fish would come unhooked or something. I think I'm cursed.
That's to bad, fresh fish tastes so good. My grandpa got me hooked when I was little. I bought a boat before I could legally drive...
Chewy I just thought I'd throw that out there. Hope the refinancing works out for you I've seen the difference it can make with my grandparents. My dad's side has everything paid for, are both retired and do what the want. My mom's side both work and live in an apartment. True my dad's side always buys used stuff but it is really theirs as it is always paid for and they shop around until they find really nice stuff, while my mom's side always buys new but still has to work.

WOW Chewy, as much as I'm sure it pains you to have to get rid of your Ram, PROPS to you for doing the stand up thing for your family. You da MAN !!
What are you planning on driving once your Ram is gone? I like the idea of a used 2nd gen for sure.

Thanks mayfair. I think the wife hates the idea more than i do, but like Roosters grandparents, I don't want to be working when I'm that old. I figure, with what we'd save on payments, insurance, and gas, that's a minimum of $700 a month I can put towards other things, plus however much I can payoff after selling it. My goal is to be in a Mega cab with the longbed conversion in a couple years. With the budget we put out for ourselves, that should be very doable. So, while it sucks to get rid of this, I'm alreadyexcited about the nextone.
I have a 95 saturn that I drive back and forth to work now, so that's what I'll be driving full time. $125 a month in gas as opposed to $400+ infuel I'd spend in the truck.
But, I'm not going anywhere, somone's got to photoshop the goodies on the trucks. If I can't spend my money, I may as well spend someone elses.

I hear ya about the fuel costs thats for sure. With diesel approching 1.00 a gallon more than gas, that's 120.00 a month alone not including the better mpgs that you get from your Saturn. I too have found myself looking into a small car. Mini Coopers have my eye right now. We'll see ...
The saturn does 28mpg in the winter and 32 in the summer. That's with 207,000 miles and a 5 speed. It's been a very good car. If I ever needed to replace it, I'd get another one. I've been impressed with saturn.
