I need some input on the best Air Intake to increase MPG for an 01 24V Dually Quad Cab 4x4. My mileage is killing me and want to get better in that category, but don't know which brand might be the best route to go. Could also use some info on what might be the best chip for my year model. I have been told the 01 is hard to upgrade in the MPG department and wanted to know what other 01 drivers have done to help in this department.

 

I just put an airdog 150 gph fuel system on my truck which increased me from mid 13s to low 14s to in to the high 15s. at that time i had an edge ez on the truck. i took it off and recently added the quadzilla adrenaline which made the truck a power house. if you look inmy sig i also have larger injectors so im not sure if your results will match mine. i have yet to really keep a close eye on my mpg since i put on the computer kit but i am hoping that it helps out some more. the airdog fuel system is almost the same as the fass and it was on sale still for 499.99 which is an awesome deal. if you want i can look up the site and see if it still is.

 

Does Bully Dog make the Airdog? I currently have the Edge EZ but have not seen any improvements on the MPG, I do like the extra HP. I am considering changing to a different chip. Thanks for the input. I know there are tons of factors on the MPG area but I am looking for anything that will help. Deisel here is 3.55. I am getting ready to start pulling to horse shows so I need the help.

 

Have you done anything at all to your truck other than the chip? If not, I agree with Viper and I'd install an new lift pump either the FASS or the Airdog, open up the exhaust to 4" and loose the cat, and also open up your intake.

Are you running oversized tires?
