Default water in the fuel?

did a fuel filter swap this morning and noticed a quarter size bubble at the bottom of the drain bottle, is it water or what? is water heavier than diesel? I thought it was the other way around...

nope i think thats why the fuel canister drain valve is in the bottom so you can drain the fuel. plus arnt all oil's lighter than water?

yeah oil floats on water. so that would make sense... water sinks to the bottom.

well then, looks like I just got my 1st water in the fuel... is it worth posting a pic?

This summer when I wasslipped [:-]and filled up a few times from my off road tank, I would get around a 1/2 a cup or better when I drained it off. I guess it was from the off road tank condensating in the sun and the pump pick up being on the botttom of the tank. I still drain the water out of my filter about once a month just to be safe. Don't get very much off pump fuel.

IDK, could be. it could be condensation buildup. I'll keep an eye on it next time around... (10k or 2.5 months lol). I normally dont run it that low, just wanted to see if 700 miles was doable or not.
