I got my new pro comps, but I don't know what the ideal tire pressure to run in them is. Right now I have 50 psi inthem. What would you run to get the most life out of the tires? By the way, they are 10 ply.

 

I plan on running mine at whatever the max pressure is. I believe it's 80lbs.

 

Well if you take your stock tires contact patch, stock PSI and your news tires contact patch you can derive the new PSI. Let’s assume arc length is the same only the width changed. So if your stock tire was a 265mm width and your new tire is 305mm wide you gained 40mm or +15%. If you stock tire pressure was 80 PSI you will only need 85% of that pressure so 68 PSI because the load the tire is taking is constant but the contact patch is larger so the PSI can be less. That should get you into the ballpark. Good luck! They look sweet by the way!

 

i have the procomp muds and a keep them at 60psi and have about 15000 miles on them they are still great tires

 

I know that the extreme mud terrains are rated for 50 lbs I have run these for a year at this setting. I switch all of them out due to chunking, if you take you truck off-road air them down. I had to by an air compressor so that I would not destroy the new tires off-road I am running 20lbs and have had good results.
