Default having problem with autometer egt....

Hey guys im having some problems with my autometer z-series egt gauge sometimes it works and most of the time it just bounces around and goes insane has anybody had this problem? Is their a fix or is it times to buy a new one? I have checked all the wires and leads and they look fine so any ideas would be awesome.

My best guess would be a loose connection at the back of the gauge or at the pyro.
