Default Mileage

Well I am about to close the deal on a deisel! I am not worried about the engine, however I am concerned about the rest of the truck!

How many miles is the truck still "good for" before you have to start replacing parts, giving it was always worked on and taken very good care? I have seen nice 60,000 mile trucks in my price range. but the trucks that are 110,000 are very appealing to me. I am planning on having this truck for a few years, and put about 33,000 a year on it. I want to sell the truck before 200,000 whatever I get(depending onhow well it holds up)

So what is a safe milage, and what kind of miles do yall have and what have you replaced?

thanks!

Default RE: Mileage

with no specs on the truck, it is hard to ell what the common failures are.

in any case, I drive a 15 yr old dodge cummins. 335,000+miles have had it for 1 1/2 yrs . put 15k on it.

replaced:

radiator
fuel injector pump
intercooler boots
battery

every year has its own known problems
