I have a 2000 Cummins 5.9L I6. I would like to get a chip to boost my mileage and maybe a little power. I have been lookin around and am tryin to choose. Right now im thinkin between some sort of superchip or edge juice with attitude cause i have heard alot of good comments about them. Somebody please help me out.

i used that module on my truck and out of the 3 t hat ive used (quadzilla XZT, powerpuck, smarty) the smarty is the BEST and IMO its worth every penny. with that being said i can give you my advice...

the power puck did nothing for my mileage, and i was not happy with the power it made. it burned really hot and my EGT's always spiked up like lightning, ALTHOUGH it is a very cheap chip and it will deliver extra power. on the other hand the XZT was AWESOME but a little more money and its only one setting (65 horse). if you are looking for a lower budget chip that will just boost your mileage up a bit (advertisments lie..... most are only good for a .5-1.5 increase) then i would go with a XZT but thats all IMO.

also understand that with me saying all of that..... you have a 2000 and i have a 2005 so there will be diffrences in performance.

I've got an Edge Comp box and it got me 1-2 mpg gain. ( I think ) I installed it right before the winter mix came so I never really finished finding the best setting.

It did as long as I keep my foot off the go pedal.
