and here's the outcome. they are yokohama 315/70 17's (equivelant to a 35) gave me about a 15% reduction in RPM's for the speed. so now at 2000rpm I'm running 70mph instead of 62.
I got a heck of a deal on them that I couldnt pass up, also no rubbing lock to lock in forward or reverse that leveling kit David's guy's installed for me did the trick
BTW, I kept the two best tires for future fun. the rims I have I'm going to keep, might see if I can pick up some steelies and have these mounted.
I have a front end pic that is blurry for some weird reason so heres a side shot.
I used to work at a tire shop and we sold more Geolander's than any other tire hands down. Never heard a bad thing about them. Yokohoma really pulled it off with that tire. I'm sure you'll love them more once you get a chance to put them to work.
what do your 315's come out to with a tape measure? i was under the impression 315's were same as 35's too, but they measure in at less than 33.5! (33.4) they are the bfg all terrain ko's... it pisses me off!
Not nessecarily. 315 is the width of the tire in mm's. The 70 is the percentage OF the width. So I 315/60/17 is going to be VERY different compared to a 315/70/17. (Another reason American Standards beat the hell outta the metric system, IMO)
