Default Need Help Please ASAP Code P0628

Morning, 2004 5.9 2500 with around 82,000 miles. Died this morning on the side of the road. Long crank time and finally starts then dies. Throwing code P0628 "Fuel lift pump circuit low voltage". Where would I start to look for this problem? Removd the Quadzilla XZT just in case. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's covered under the 100,000 mile warranty. Mine was absolutely free because I was still under the 3/36. After that there is a $100 deductable. P0628 was the code I got when it cut out driving down the street one day.

Thank you 12valve and bekim,
I did a search on here and google and all topics I found were pointing to the Lift pump being junk. Some were saying it would be covered under the 100k. Called one dealership and they said it wasn't covered, I didn't have much confidence in that service writers knowledge. I then called another dealer gave them myVIN and mileage and they said if it was indeed the lift pump that it would be covered. So obviously I went with the second dealership although they were much further away from my location. Good thing a friend had AAA. Tow only cost $50. Dealer might be able to take a look at it today. I will let you know how I make out. Thanks for all input.

yeah i know that they are under the 100 k warranty have installed quite a few here make sure that they retrofit it to the intank fuel supply pump also does not cost extra and should not have to ask for it but it should be automatic for them to do so seeing as the other pump i think has been discontinued that is mounted on the back of the filter housing. hey good luck and let us know how it goes have a good weekend

Just got off the phone with the dealership. Lift pump is junk and covered under the 100k mile warranty with a $100 deductible. The fix is to remove the old one from the engine compartment and relocate the new one to the fuel tank like 12valveman mentioned. Pretty happy that it's only going to cost a total of $150 with towing and repair. Thanks again for your help.
