When I bought my truck they had a 1 yo 5.9, quad cab, nice grill guard even a 6 ton warn but it wasnt 4wd and I need 4wd. I go down 60 miles of coast thats posted 4x4 only (youll see wreckers pulling out 4x2s that try it, even see a few 4x4s with busted axles ugh) plus traffic sucks where I live and there some creeks, ditches and slop that can turn literally a 35 min wait into 6 or 7 min.

I wanted to pay cash for my truck so a new ctd was more than I was wanting to take out of the ol bank
I tow a pontoon every now and then, no more than 50 miles. So I don't need the torque.

I'm glad I didn't go with the 5.9 back then now that dodge has the 6.7

Torques not gonna get the front tires turning when youre stuck in a 2wd LOL

What meds did the clinic give you?

If they mix, I would take a couple tylenol to help break the fever, a double dose of Nyquil liquid and try to sleep at least 6 good hours. As far as the respiratory infection, that is tough to deal with. You can loosen it up with some HOT tea and honey. Then about a half hour before you goto sleep, put a little NUMOTIZINE on your chest. The reason for the half hour is so you can get used to the smell so you can sleep. It stinks like the dickens. You can get it at any Walgreens / CVS, etc.

Buzzy sounds like you got pneumonia man. Probably ought to get to the er and get it treated before it really gets the best of you. Not a dr but am a medic and that stuff is gonna put a hurtin on you. You'll probably get put on steroids and other meds you will have to inhale.

 

how long has it been? virals dont last too long, if its been a 1.5 weeks or more then its prob a bacterial inf. i love it when the docs give you a z pack or some other anti body when they say its viral, just another way for them to make more money.

do you have any alergies that could be contributing? i know in SA they always talk about the mold pollen oak etc on the news and i have a few friends that just get put on their *** when cedar is high.

have you tried a cold shower or cool bath?

if things turn to the worse how much do you want for your truck? im in SA so wouldnt be a long drive.

ive had a 104.8 before and more crap in my throat i could hardly swallow water, that was pure misery so hope you feel better man...

 

Get better man. I was in ER for a week with a 106 max temp and average of about 101. They dont know what I had but my guess was heat stroke. I got in on a friday at bout midnightand the next friday at 9am with a 98 temp but also im warm blooded so my temp is above average by half degree or so. Just say when I went into the ER I was kinda wacko. That was the most pain I had though cause I would cramp up and literally flex farther than I can do normally.
