so a bunch of buddies and i were messin around in some mud and i got stuck so i put it in reverse and nuttin...it was like the truck was in neutral and would only rev to 2000 rpm. so i got pulled out and on the way home the truck was in drive but it wouldnt shift out of 1st gear. rebuild time i guess...any ideas or suggestions??

 

Do you know if it is the 47re or 48re? I just changed my 47re out with a heavier duty remanufactured one. Would have bought the parts and had it rebuilt but no one in our small town to rebuild it.
