I turned over 100,000 miles on my 2003 today. Its kinda makes you nervous knowing you dont have the cummins warranty anymore, but then again these are the best diesels on the market and you cant hardly hurt them. Motor seems to be just as strong as the day I bought it.
when my yoda yanked the big 100,000 around I felt the motor was running better than when I drove it off the lot with 47K. then the tranny troubles started with a slipping clutch, then the slave cylinder went out, syncro's. . .who knows whats next.
I'm getting close too. I just hit 90k. I put 150k on my 2001 CTD with no problems. My goal is to get 300k out my truck, understanding that there is no way that the tranny will make it that far.
I'm at 121K and my failure listing is rather short in length... But I got to admit this is the best truck I've ever owned! I plan on hitting the 500K mark as a goal... I love to see 999,999 on the odometer myself!
