And you have to get rid of any uncoded ammo by 2010.....Heck for you crazy Pennsyltuckyians that means shooting 200 rds a day of your stockpiles.

The thing that caught my eye was that cops can use un-numbered ammo. SoI guess when little Timmy gets shot by a bullet "alledgedly" fired from a cops gun they can't identify exactly who it was that fired the bullet, and yet if little Timmy get's hit by one of mine, I'm in jail for life.
Yeah ... that's fair ...

.05 tax on each round! That's an extra $2.50 per box of 50.
Would they require that on .22's? That would about double the price of it.
Another reason I won't move back up to the northeast.
So what does that mean for folks that re-load?

RE: OT: Since everyone is into guns
oh well I keep my pistols loaded with fragmenting bullets, there's nothing left of the bullet after impact.
For my rifles I use plastic tipped bullets so that sumbitch goes in, out, and then another 500 yards down the way.
It won't pass. Besides are they gonna outlaw reloads? I already have my dye and press.

Well, all I gotta say it this. Folks talk about Alabama being all backwoods and redneck and po-dunk and inbred and all the other crap, but you know what.........the gun laws that are proposed right now are in SUPPORT of the gun owner. More hunting rights, more carry rights, more castle doctrine, etc.
Same things with vehicles. Basically, it's a "run whatcha brung" state.
Oh, and has some of hte lowest taxes in the country.
Did I say I was originally from New York.....

There's no way they can realistically do this without drastically limiting the amount of ammunition that can be produced. The price of ammo NOW is rediculous enough. What's gonna happen to the price when it costs manufactures MORE due to added time in making each individual bullet?? I know that the NRA and NAHC are going to have something to say, but more importantly, what are the manufactures going to have to say about this?? I see this going absolutely nowhere.
