I found one at a dealer in Kentucky. He is willing to sell it and ship it to her. I don't understand why her local dealer couldn't do this. It took me 1 phone call and about 5 minutes to arrange. I guess this is why people shy away from dealerships.

Hey Parts so the local dealer wouldnt make any money off of her since the KY dealership (hrm that could be a sex shop name) is going to sell it to her. think thats the answer to your question.

you got to love lot lizzards......

PS my buddy and the diminished value said F it and hes gonna buy a non dodge truck now. chalk another plus one for dealerships lol....

Her local dealer could have had it shipped to them and then sold it to her. They missed a sale out of laziness. I didn't make any money but I got the satisfaction of helping a member out and showing that not all dealerships suck. And I also get a kick out of knowing that she will tell alot of people that her local dealer didn't care to try to help her and all she had to do was to go to this forum and her problem was solved by a stranger that is 4 states away..

Not to hijack the thread, but Dave- you may get a kick outta this. I wore the hat you sent me to our local dealership which raised a few eyebrows. When asked, I said O'Neal Dodge is the ONLY place I'll get factory parts when not covered under warranty. Service "advisor" said they could also get parts probably faster. I politely disagreed and said the only reason O'Neal's wasn't doing the warranty worktoo is because it would take to long to drive through 9 or 10 states and back again.

If anybody can get it, Dave will. Great guy, he'll help you out if he possibly can.

His shop is about 105 miles from my house and, I tell ya what, if I need anything I'll drive past every other dealership on the way there just to get stuff from him.
wouldn't that be a loooooooooooonng drive right now

LMAO !!

I too had my O'Niel hat on when I had my cam sensor installed. When they asked me where I got the part, I told them "right here". When the guy asked me if i was sure that I had the right partand that Iwas sure installing it would solve my problem, I told him that because of Daves's help, I'd bet my life on it.

The quetions pretty much stopped right there.

Hey everyone,
Got the part yesterday (thanks Dave for linking us up with someone!!!)....my husbands nephew flipped when we called and told him we got the part...he works at the dealership, he's a mechanic there. I don't really know why they couldn't get it...he says they put it in the computer and it tells them whether they can get it or not. So again....I'd rather deal with live people then a damn computer!! LOL!! The guy Dave gave us was great got it right out and told us to keep his number incase we ran into a hard to find part again....we were actually at this guys car lot last year when we were looking for trucks, they just didn't have any at the time....I had also emailed the Dodge company form online...all they said was find a local dealer....I had wrote no one had the part, wonder what they didn't understand on that?? But anyhows we got it!!!! Thanks again!!

Rhonda
