Kevin, we will meet up soon. I still have some time to think and figure a way out. I could always drive a Taxi on Friday and Saturday nights again but summer time business is slow in that field.
Ramitone, you are absolutely correct, if She did give up the Fj it would cost me dearly in the future, most likely end up costing me the Range Rover she wants when I get my finances straightened out. I am going to do some evaluating next week when I talk to the Vp and Avp and see what can be done. I am going to review bank statements and see what kind of spending can be cut short to make things happen. I am sure I can come up with a creative solution. Again, the only thing is it will in no way have a negative effect on my family for my truck.
the mini Van runs well. leaks a little oil but runs like a champ. The mustang needs a little body work in the front, a oil pan and powersteering lines all of which are cheaper on one truck payment. I am merely weighing my options.

jimmy, what are getting like 1500 back from uncle Sam? Use some of that to get the van up and running. How's the mpg on the van?if it sucks, sell it and take the tax money and a few months of savings with no truck payment and buy an older toyo or nissan car. A buddys coworker has an early 90s nissan 2 door that gets over 30mpg and runs fine. don't know what your monthly cost is for that truck, for me gas and insurance is about 500 bucks, I paid cash for my truck so no monthly, had I not my monthly cost would be around 1k when all is said and done. So if thats close to what you're paying to keep your truck you'll save quite a bit, you'll have pleanty of time to research your next truck, the wifes FJ will last a long time and will hold its value. Even after you buy another truck you can still drive the Asian to an from work to offest mileage costs and extend the life of the truck. Don't know how far your commute is, but before I decided to take a year off, I was going 45 miles a day for work so about 60 bucks a week just off of gas. Almost bought a bike but drivers in San antonio are horrible and a lot done have INS.
Don't know how many months you are in to your truck payment but maybe a refi. Going the house route is good and bad, its good if you don't have another veh and you NEED a truck. But the down side is even once things get back to normal it'll be hard for you to want to pay down the extra mtg and you wind up still just making the mins and then you've killed your equity and will be paying for a truck 10 years after you sold it.
