Dropping the cat did absolutely nothing for mileage for me. No Hp gain, no better mileage, no different sound.

almost similar to what I experienced, however I did have a slight tone change in my exhaust. and at the most a 50F drop in EGT's.

This is disappointing. I have good power. Just the mileage is poor. at 75-80, I'm lucky if I get 13mpg. If I do 65-70mph I get 15-16mpg. I guess i'm just used to 18 or better on my 03 ram. Guess I won't get it from my 06 dually. You think a chip would help, and if it would which one??
Chip will not help if you continue to drive fast... I've Got a Edge Comp...

If you really slow down...

So if you can get your pyro under 600*F and boost under 5 PSI you to can have 20+ MPG... Just check my MPG information on my web page... I'm running 19-20 MPG normally!!! But Drive 55-60 MPH...

Hey dude, that's what most speed limit's are around here, If you do under that you get looked at like some kind of freek! So everyone that say's they get 18-22mpg is doing under 60mph?? My o3 would get 18 consistantly doing 75-80mph. Unless pulling of course. I guess I probably will continue to have a heavy foot as I think time is more of the essance for me most of the time. Thanks for all your help out there..

The only time I'm rolling faster than 55 MPH is when there is a fire call... (Red beacon lights are on... And haulin' ****!)

But other than that I'm no faster than 55 MPH (even in a 65 MPH speed zone)... Local cops think I'm setting a good example for everyone else and being conservative. Which I am trying to be conservative with my expensive fuel. But other than that I don't see boost levels over5 PSI very much any more... Pyro staysright or under600*F most of the time...

You need to get twin turbos!! My truck got 21mpg doing 70mph on the way back from the shop. I used to get 18mpg doing the same speed.

The only way I can get the EGTs below 600F is to coast. If I touch the accelerator at all they stay well above 600F. Do you think I have a problem? My boost numbers seem reasonable though.

Really simple use your cruise control... Set it... Take a look at 55 MPH i can stay at 2-3 PSI of boost and 600*F of pyro... Hard to do by foot really...

At 55 mph on cruise mine will run about 700-800F and about 2-4 psi boost. My EGTsare lowestat 65 mph (About 700F, boost 6 psi), but get higher if I set the cruise on 60 or 70 mph. What do you think?

Dude, are you seriously questioning your truck on mileage doing 75-80? Are you retarded? These are not sports cars, they are work trucks. Everyone is going to get crappy mileage doing 75-80 MPH.
