I had my speaker upgraded in my 06 Ram QC and they are making a high pitch whistling noise.
Any advice?

Or does it only do it when your RPMs are up? There's also a possibility that the Positive and Negative wires are hooked up backwards.

 

All the time even when the mute is on. I think that the hook ups on the speaker may be to close to metal and maybe making contact.

 

Good possibility. Also, you might check on theaudio/visual forum here: https://dodgeforum.com/forumid_17/tt.htm. The guys in there may have a better understanding of exactly what's going on.

 

sounds like alternator whine to me. was it installed by u or professionally. if it was done by a shop take it back. because they have a massive amount of **** somewhere in that install.

 

is the system amp'd? Check the amp to make sure the speaker wires and the power wire aren't crossing. also check and see if they ran RCAs and power wires on the same side. this will give a similar reaction to what ur getting, commonly referred to as "road noise"
